Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actor and actress who lived in Sweden from the 1950s to 1970s, played in numerous European films, as well as American films. Her most renowned role was in the comedy drama "La Dolce Vita". The film received an Oscar as well as the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, and was also a commercial and critical success. Prior to her first acting gig she worked as a fashion model for international magazines. In the end, she was crowned Miss Sweden Contest. Then she moved to the US after which she started appearing in various films as minor parts. Her first credited role was in the film "Abbott and Costello Go To Mars', where she was an Venusian guard. The film was later awarded the Golden Globe award in the 'Most Promising Newcomer', section after her performance in the film 'Bloodalley'. The actress was also featured in numerous other films over the course of her career. The most notable of these is the war drama 'War and Peace' as well as"Valerie," the Western film "Valerie" and the British Adventure crime film 'The Man Within and"The Dam on the Yellow River," a French and Italian dramatic The Dam on the Yellow River.
